The elimination of coccidiosis (using Baycox oral solution)

Baycox oral solution should be given to the whole loft for 2 days and then, after a 5-day break, for 2 days again. During the treatment pigeons can only drink water containing this coccidiostatic. 2,5 millilitres of the solution should be dissolved in 1 litre of drinking water (2,5 ml / l). During the 5-day break it is advised to give vitamin complex to the animals.

In the environment sorrounding pigeons numerous infectious coccidium oocyst can be found. So in order to prevent reinfection, the loft 's surroundings should be cleaned and disinfected simultaneously with the beginning of the treament scheme. After the removal of visible dropping, the oocysts should be exterminated with dry heat. It is also advised to wash up and exsiccate the feeders and drinkers.

Dosis (for the 2x2 day treatment):

50 pigeons /loft (2,5 litres of water per day) approximately 25 ml Baycox

100 pigeons/loft (2,5 litres of water per day) approximately 50 ml Baycox

The elimination of inner parasitosis (using SBH-Tetramisol and Baycox oral solution)

1st phase

The treatment scheme can be applied in cases of coccidiosis and gastrointestinal helminths (in case of simultaneos Ascaridia and / or Capillaria infection).

SBH-Tetramisol should be applied for 2 days. It should be dissolved in drinking water in a way that, during the 2-day treatment, 0,2 g / kilogram of body weight / day should be given to the loft. This dosis equals 5 grams of SBH-Tetramisol / loft / day - in case of 50 pigeons weighing 500 g per animal.

Against coccidiosis, Baycox oral solution (containing toltrazulil, a coccidiostatic agent) should be used for 2 days and then, after a 5-day break, again for 2 days. It should be given to the whole loft in a way that, during the treatment the pigeons can only drink water that contains this coccidiostatic. 2,5 ml of the solution should be dissolved in 1 litre of water (2,5 ml / litre). During the 5-day break it is advised to give vitamin complex to the animals.

2nd phase (12 days after the end of the 1st phase)

SBH-Tetramisol should be applied for 2 days. It should be dissolved in drinking water in a way that, during the 2-day treatment, 0,2 g / kilogram of body weight / day should be given to the loft. This dosis equals 5 grams of SBH-Tetramisol / loft / day - in case of 50 pigeons weighing 500 g per animal. During the dosage special care should be taken to ensure that the medicine is evenly dissolved in the water.

On the day after first applying SBH-Tetramisol (which is also the first day of applying Baycox solution), dropping should be eliminated with special care because fully grown vermin are excreted mostly then, and these can reinfect the loft, thus decreasing the effectivity of the treatment. After the first day of treatment the loft's habitat should be cleaned (elimination of visible dropping) and disinfected (surroundings, feeder, drinker), if possible, with dry heat.
